One has to fall in love with this city….with this summer which never ends. Palm trees everywhere, feel the city and its special vibe.

Los Angeles California, is one of the places I always return to. I love to walk along the streets with its huge palm trees, the blue sky above me in the endless summer.
The sunsets are amazing..like gold coloured festivals of lights. The best months for traveling to LA. are October/November.
If you go to LA you must visit Downtown to feel small watching the amazing skyline, Pershing Square, China Town, the music hall. Just have in mind, depending on where you are staying, you need to calculate aprox. 45 minutes to arrive at the city centre.
The freeways are always crowded although they have 6 roads on each side. One famous freeway ist he 101- here you can kind of cross the country..the 405 goes to Santa Monica and the 10 leads you to Long Beach. The best way to enjoy the different beaches and to get out oft he city is by car- rent a car- enjoy the feeling driving along those huge freeways. The city centre of course is easy to travel by subway and bus to Downtown, Hollywood(the walk of fame),the City Walk and Universal Studios.
Universal Studios: Universal Studios: The ticket price depends on the season. To be on the safe side- calculate with aprox. 100 $ per day and person.
CityWalk: The entrance is for free- you only have to pay for the parking if you go by car. Here you have cinemas, restaurants, shops and bars…also the famous hard rock café you will find at CityWalk.
The Walk of Fame: The famous wlak of starts you will find at Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street. Here you will find more than 2000 stars on the street of famous radio, movie, theatre celebrities such as Marylin Monroe or Michael Jackson.

Hollywood Sign: Every tourist needs to go the the Hollywood sign and take a picture of this famous symbol.
There is no sign which guides you to the top of hollywood hills-it is not far from the Walk of Fame but no one really tells you how to get to the Hollywood sign when you ask in restaurants or shops. Lots of the streets are closed or exclusive for the locals who live there.
I found a way to get to the top and I will let you know right now: If you go by car you need to follow the street which is called N Beachwood Dr. It is a straight street but in teh end there are some tiny street which cross the main one- so keep on the main road and don`t lose yourself in one oft he tiny roads. When you Lagewood Dr. you need to follow this road up- at its end you need to check if there is a space where you can park your car-this is a bit difficult because it is prohibited almost everywhere. You walk up the rest oft he road then-till MulhollandHwy. The last house at the end of this road has a sign saying-private –Do NOT ENTER-Here you can see the Hollywood sign- if you are lucky you can go few steps more to get a bit closer to the sign…or ask someone if it is allowed to pass for just one second

The other option ist o see the sign from the back ..this perspective allows you to see all over LA and the obervatory also. You get here by following Ledgewood Dr. –here you have two options, one is take Deronda Dr the other is to take Rockcliff Dr.till you reach Mt. Lee Dr. Here you need to leave your car and continue walking. Please take lots of water with you because this trip is a 2km walk up the hill. The way up is straight but it can be exhausting because of the heat.

Enjoy the view and then go back down- there are many roads you can take, one leads you to the Observatory. I recommend you to do this hike if you are physically healthy because it really can be exhausting but it`s worth it. The other way to reach the Observatory ist o go by car. Take the Franklin Ave. , go up to Feliz Blvd. And then go to N Vermont Ave. The entrance at the Observatory is for free – except the tours which are offered as well.
The view is really nice- you can see the Hollywood sign and have a look at the famous James Dean monument- also the sunset is lovely to see.

A city which is nearby and definately worth a visit is Beverly Hills. The city is famous also because of the famous TV series oft he 90s "Beverly Hills 90210". The main road ist he "Rodeo Drive" where al the famous brands have amazing flag ship stores- here you will find all designers such as Chanel,Dior Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Cartier and all the others. Here you can see the most expensive cars and if you are lucky some celebrities who do their shopping.

Yo will find lots of Cafés and restaurants ..which have an european style.
If you are in Claifornia you need to visit San Francisco and the beasches along the Pacific Way. Check out my other blog-here you will find more information about those places.
A place you cannot miss is DISNEY WORLD!
Disney is situated in Anaheim. The entrance fee 105 Dollar per person and it includes only the Disney park and NOT the rolle rcoaster park entrance. You can purchase a combined ticket for both parks but for this you require more than one day! Disney World is so impressing. You will enter into the world of magic- no matter if child or adult- you feel like in a world of fantasy.
You should enter the park right at 8 o`clock in the morning because there is so much to see. The roller coasters are included in the entrance fee- but you have to calculate large waiting times at each attraction. Some offer so called fast passes- I recommend you to take the Fast Passes- with this you can return at a certain hour which is marked on your pass and then have a quick „fast way“ to the attraction.
I can really recommend you the following attractions: Fantasyland (Peter Pan Castle), Indiana Jones, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mainson, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Piratesof theCaribbean, Finding Nemo, Hyperspace Mountain. All of those have a Fast Pass wich can be acquired every 2 hours.
In Mickey`s Toontown you can meet all the characters- you can meet: Goofy, Donald Duck, Chip and Dale and of course Mickey Mouse and Mini- take pictures with them-this is for free.
Stay till the end- you cannot miss the amazing parade where all the characters dance in the streets- the light show is amazing –and as magical as whole Disney World. The show alsways has like a kind of Topic Theme. depending on the season…check out the website- there you will find out about the latest themes and shows.
